Tune-Ups

8-12 week maintenance therapy is often needed for long standing chronic problems. Once that problem (shoulder chronic ache/weakness) has been dealt with, it may want to rear its ugly head again down the road. So, we suggest a tune-up for the body every 8-12 weeks. We tune our cars up, so why not the most important vehicle, our body?

Massage for Healing & Injury Prevention in Bow, NH

Are you seeking relief from acute or chronic muscle pain? Welcome to our treatment center!

The varied Soft Tissue Manipulation Techniques of MWTC are very specific to relieving acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain. The Soft Tissue Mobilization Techniques that MWTC utilizes focus on elongating adhered/shortened tissue, and the exercises (when needed) add strength and support to the over-stretched and weakened musculoskeletal tissue. All this is done with the goal of creating balance within one’s body. When the body’s balanced, you significantly decrease the odds of future injuries.

Realignment of Postural Imbalances

We look to realign individuals with poor posture by relaxing the stress of muscle imbalances. This gives the body’s nervous system a chance to relax, and subluxations of joints may naturally align.

Massage Therapy for Athletes

We offer a range of massage therapy services, refined for both athletes and non-athletes alike. If you need help deciding which service is right for you, get in touch with one of our team members!

Types of therapy:

  • Myofascial Release Therapy

Myofascial release therapy uses slow, elongating strokes that work with the connective tissue known as fascia. Myofascial work restores movement and flexibility of the body.

  • Structural Integration/ROLFING

Structural Integration is a manual manipulation and movement therapy of the myofascial system which realigns the body with its relationship to gravity. It works on both the muscles and the fascia.

  • Neuromuscular Therapy

NMT is used to break the cycle of pain that comes with injury, illness, or stress. NMT locates pain-causing areas through postural analysis, muscle testing and trigger point detection, helping to restore healing and circulation.

  • Visceral Manipulation

Visceral manipulation is a gentle deep tissue therapy that works through the body's visceral system (the lungs, liver, intestines and other internal organs) to alleviate abnormal points of tension throughout the body.

  • Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy uses a very light touch to the cranial bones, spine, and sacrum to balance the craniosacral system. This system also contains cerebrospinal fluid, nerves, and connective tissues.
